Multiple Takes
In order to convey the amount of effort and the number of times to get a usable result, I’m sharing some 18 images of multiple takes. This is actually just a SMALL IDEA of the number of video, recording and photo takes in a session as there was often another page or other takes which I deleted as I went along to make space.
WARNING!
This blog post includes photos of me looking distinctly UN-glamorous and awkwardly posing. LOL! Enjoy…
Why have you included thumbnails of selfies?
After performing, performers tend to feel a buzz of adrenalin and endorphins etc, and while dressed for the show, it seemed a good time to take some silly photos. To be clear, I am generally anti-gun. But I thought it was funny to hold the drill as if in a film poster for a comedy action / DIY film.
Do you have any tips?
Preparation (e.g. practising!) helps. As does patience. If you find it’s not working, try one of these: a small break (a few minutes), a long break (do something else for a few hours and come back to it), or schedule in a session for a different day.
What’s with the last photo?
The last photo is a set of timers as there can strict time slots for performers otherwise events can overrun. If you get the signal to stop from the stage manager/ sound person and you don’t stop, you might get your sound cut!
