Fears & Dreams.. Worlds colliding - Thank you for attending the AHFT Shower!
Thanks everyone who showed up at the Asians Have Feelings Too shower!
Aside from sharing the new track (due for release in October!), it was my first time hosting a combined show, share and community drawing workshop of this length and scale!
Sunday was a gathering of my different worlds. I loved seeing your placards and hearing about them and I was really glad to have your support. Familiar names and faces and new ones. I felt reassured, curious and excited!
Wow! As well as in the UK, people joined us from Europe, Hong Kong and Australia!
MORE HIGHLIGHTS!
My 10 year old student liked my music and didn't want to leave for their family celebration dinner!
A teenage student was apparently trying to do an English assignment while listening.
8 piano students (past, present, colleague's) attended - some of whom I've not yet spoken to about being queer or trans. Nor about my experiences with racism. Creativity helps me speak and I’d like to talk to more people…!
My mum was sitting opposite me. She made a placard too!
Keep those submissions coming in!
Feel free to spread the word.
Many thanks to besea.n for the Zoom and Boxi for invaluable technical assistance!
