Decolonise Education
Decolonisers of Education who are UK-schooled! Did you know there’s a survey for people who studied in the UK on whether you learnt about British colonisation at school? And we can petition the Government! The findings could create the change we need!!!! ✒️✒️✒️.

🌱 Whether you believe in abolition or reform of existing systems, I think any chance for REFLECTION can be powerful & healing. I learnt what I have about history from Instagram. I should have learnt at least some of this at school. Not knowing has affected my mental health. Ignorance & hate can lead to harm turned on others or oneself.
🏰 Ironically though, there are so many stereotypes about the British stiff upper lip and character-building. In my opinion, FACING UP to one’s part in history and how it has created lasting harm IS character-building and will put those stiff upper lips to good use. Thanks to Minder Kathwal for sharing the survey.
